With MDT you do non need to use the ICD tool to create the .wim file. You lot need to ensure your accept the correct MS licensing to create and deploy images. Assuming y'all have that you tin do the post-obit:

Since Windows ten uses Cumulative Updates we've moved from building a reference (Gilt) image. With WIndows vii, prior to Cumulative Updates, the image needed to be updated a couple times a year to add together in the patches or the post imaging procedure got longer and longer due to all the patches that needed to be installed.
Our Windows 10 process:
i. Install the Operating System (Windows ten Build 1703 x64)
2. Patch to the latest Cumulative Update using our WSUS server
3. Run the scripts that install software
